Commemorative ring honoring legendary C-N football coach 肯的火花 available to Eagles fans
Fans and friends of legendary Carson-Newman football coach, 肯的火花, have a unique opportunity to show their Eagles spirit and benefit C-N students.
A commemorative “338” ring is available for sale 点击这里. A portion of each sale benefits C-N students through the “肯的火花 Making a Difference Academic Scholarship.”
Customization options are available to coaches, 球员, 支持人员, and donors who participated in the 338 wins that place Sparks fifth on the all-time wins list for college football. There is also an option for fans interested in supporting the scholarship.
Along with prominently displaying “338,” the ring also features the phrase “How’s Your Heart?” – a question the coach often asked those he was around when inquiring about their relationship with the Lord.
“The 肯的火花 Making a Difference Academic Scholarship” is awarded annually to academically qualified students who show evidence of financial need and Christian leadership. “肯的火花 made a difference day in and day out, on the field and off,” said Danette Seale, acting vice president for Enrollment Management and executive director of 金融援助. “This a great opportunity to not only show support for our Eagles football program and Coach Sparks’ legacy, but to also support Carson-Newman students pursuing a degree in Christian higher education. This scholarship benefits qualifying students who represent those same Christian Leadership qualities, so they may make a difference too.”
The ring’s release comes simultaneously with the theatrical premier of the award-winning documentary “Sparks – The 肯的火花 Story.” The film was directed by alumnus Jeff Joslin, who played for the celebrated coach and mentor.
